Nice to meet you
Hi, I’m George, I'm a songwriter who’s figured out a few things about creativity and how we can improve our songwriting process. I want to give songwriters access to this information in hopes that it helps them to write more often, more freely, and more authentically.
I started natural songwriter out of a love for the songwriting process and its ability to make something out of nothing. I’ve spent years studying creativity and psychology, while exploring and testing different creative approaches through various creative projects and my own music.
I hope that the tools that I’ve put together are able to help songwriters to further their craft and their connection with it, regardless of skill level. My journey with songwriting is forever deepening and I’ll be writing about it here for as long as that continues. Please get in touch if you think I could help you with anything in particular.
Who is Natural Songwriter?
We call ourselves Natural Songwriter, but really, that title belongs to you. The ones who show up for themselves and their craft, put pen to paper, and put lyrics to melody.
We believe that every songwriter has a unique creative-identity, something worth expressing. Our mission with this notebook is to help songwriters find and develop that unique voice and learn to write often and authentically.
Why we exist
The beauty of music is in its ability to connect people. Songwriters have the potential to create songs that people will play at their weddings, their parties, and their funerals. They’ll listen when they’re happy, when they’re upset, and when they feel alone. No other art form is as involved in daily life as music is. We believe that music holds great value. Helping creators to write more songs for the world to enjoy is the reason that we exist.
